E2 Urban Garden Recognised in RHS & BBC The One Show Award
We are proud to announce that the E2 Urban Garden has been named a Runner-Up in the prestigious RHS and BBC The One Show Growing Together Award 2025.
This award celebrates the most inspiring community gardening projects across the country. To be recognised on a national stage is a huge achievement for our community in Beaumont Leys.
A Community Transformation
What was once a neglected site has, over the past two years, been transformed into a thriving green space by our staff, volunteers, and young people.
The Urban Garden now includes:
-
Raised beds growing fresh fruit and vegetables
-
Pollinator-friendly plants to boost biodiversity
-
Composting and rainwater harvesting systems
-
Accessible paths so everyone can take part
The garden has become much more than a place to grow food — it is a space for wellbeing, education, and community connection.
A Word From Our CEO
Martin Buchanan, CEO of E2, said:
“This recognition is a testament to the hard work and passion of everyone who has contributed to the Urban Garden. Our volunteers, staff, and young people have created something truly special here in Beaumont Leys. We are proud to see our community’s efforts recognised nationally.”
What’s Next
As part of the award, E2 has received a £100 National Garden gift voucher, which will be reinvested back into the Urban Garden to support its future growth.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us along the way. This achievement belongs to all of you.
