GULEID ROOBLE

Guleid emigrated to the UK in 2000 from the Netherlands and has lived in Beaumont Leys since 2007. In January 2020 he graduated from De Montfort University with an MSc in Strategic and GuleidRoobleDigital Marketing.

He initially volunteered with E2 once a week to support the kitchen and food bank by helping to prepare 60-80 ready meals a day for the many clinically vulnerable and deprived residents of the community. He also led a group of volunteers to prepare and distribute food parcels for local families.

Guleid joined our charity as a volunteer through DMU Local feeling that this would be a great way for him to get work experience as well as supporting a worthy cause. He eventually applied for a position with the charity and after successfully completing the recruitment process he was offered a job as our new Project Coordinator.

Volunteering isn’t new to him, he has been helping at charity events and fundraisers from a young age and says that “Volunteering makes a difference to people’s lives by offering them some kind of relief and hope, essentially to alleviate difficulties and challenges to support the community along with their families in these difficult times”.
