Funded by the Home Office, this project has been designed to provide a safe space to deliver fun and engaging youth sessions and targeted youth activities that are focused on inclusivity, cohesion, equality and British values. We are working with young people aged 7 - 16 yrs. old who are at risk of radicalisation and grooming by individuals and local gangs.
The activities we deliver focus on building cohesion and promoting awareness of British values, as well as encouraging young people to work together in a team on social activities and is led by seasoned professionals who currently work with challenging young people.
At its core, our project works with young people to focus on developing a good understanding and awareness of British values of tolerance and mutual respect for people who hold different cultural, religious beliefs to themselves. Participants have access to computer gaming sessions along with discussion-based activities. These sessions encourage teamwork and collaboration and help to develop relationships that cross religious, cultural and ethnic divides. We encourage the young people to be critical about any of their radical beliefs, as well as challenge extremist views that are counter to British values.
